Solana has launched its P-Token upgrade on the mainnet, significantly enhancing transaction efficiency by up to 20 times. The upgrade, which went live on May 13, is an optimized rewrite of the Solana SPL Token program. It reduces the computational overhead of token instructions by approximately 96%, thereby freeing up an additional 12-13% of block space on the network without changing block limits.
