Cindy, co-founder of Velocity (formerly Drift Protocol), has announced her resignation from the Solana-based perpetual contract exchange. The platform will continue operations under its existing team as it officially restarts today following a comprehensive security rebuild and audit after suffering a North Korean hacker attack in April. Since launching on Solana in November 2021, Velocity has accumulated over $150 billion in trading volume. Following the April breach, the team coordinated with Tether to facilitate user asset recovery and implemented extensive security upgrades. The exchange is now fully open source and audited, with ongoing efforts focused on asset recovery, technology improvements, and growth. Cindy stated she excels at building projects from zero to one and will pursue new directions while continuing to support Velocity.
