UK-based AI chip startup Fractile has successfully raised $220 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Factorial Funds, Accel, and Founders Fund, co-founded by Peter Thiel. Fractile, established in 2022 by Oxford-trained engineer Walter Goodwin, focuses on developing AI inference chips that enhance bandwidth efficiency and reduce latency, promising faster and more cost-effective computing for AI workloads.
