The Sandbox has launched a SAND compensation claim page for users affected by the August 22 Base and BNB Chain cross-chain bridge attack. The claim window runs from September 8 to September 22. Wallets that legitimately held bridged SAND before the attack can receive 1:1 SAND compensation on Ethereum by initiating a transaction from the holding wallet, with no forms or documents required. Users holding SAND through centralized exchanges do not need to take action, while missed claims after September 22 can be handled individually by contacting the official team before the end of October. The Sandbox warned users to stay alert for scams, stating that the team will not send direct messages, request token approvals, ask users to sign off-chain messages, or request transfers.
