Elon Musk stated on X that once China masters product manufacturing, its capacity for large-scale production often exceeds the rest of the world combined, citing the lithium battery and solar industries as precedent. He made the remarks while discussing competition in the memory chip sector. Musk noted that China is rapidly conquering LP5 and LP6 low-power memory technologies following unified standards. However, he emphasized that newer HBM architectures, SRAM layers beneath logic chips, and 3D stacking with heat dissipation solutions remain technically far more difficult challenges.
