Hyperliquid said a future network upgrade will let deployers optionally configure permissioned markets through a new set of deployer features branded HIP-3*. The core feature is an onchain whitelist managed by the deployer or its sub-deployers. The company said HIP-3* is a purely additive extension to HIP-3, with adoption left entirely to deployers and no changes to existing markets. The first version of HIP-3* is now live on testnet and is designed to give deployers added functionality to operate deployments in line with their applicable compliance requirements.
