BitMine has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings, adding 126,971 ETH in a single week, bringing its total to 5,543,872 ETH. This acquisition represents approximately 4.59% of the total Ethereum supply of 120.7 million, as reported on June 8, 2026. The company is now 92% towards its strategic goal of holding 5% of the total ETH supply. Chairman Thomas Lee highlighted that this week's purchase is a substantial increase from their usual weekly average of 26,000 ETH. The decision was driven by BitMine's confidence in Ethereum's fundamentals and the anticipated positive impact of asset tokenization and AI-driven demand for open blockchains. BitMine's crypto assets, including 4,718,677 staked ETH, are valued at approximately $7.7 billion, with an annualized staking yield of $230 million. The company is now the largest enterprise-grade Ethereum reserve holder globally, second only to Strategy Inc. in Bitcoin reserves.
