Bitcoin traded just above $86,000 early Tuesday after encountering heavy selling resistance at $87,000 for the third time since Sept. 23. FxPro warns that a break below $84,000 would signal bearish dominance, with a further drop through the $83,000 low potentially triggering a rapid decline to $80,000. The cryptocurrency briefly slid to $85,200 before European trading but remains near the top of its two-week range, maintaining a pattern of higher lows that is currently under threat. Market pressure eased slightly as U.S. Treasury yields retreated from their highest levels since 2002 and oil fell below $100 per barrel. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that economic growth and spending restraint would quickly slow government borrowing, pausing a global bond selloff driven by inflation fears tied to the U.S.-Iran war and expectations of continued Fed tightening. Among major altcoins, ZEC gained nearly 2% to $1,360, while DOGE dropped 2% and SOL fell 1%.
