MarsCoin vs Anonymous Cat and Why One Pays in SpaceX Stock and One in Zcash

Key Points

Compare MarsCoin's SpaceX stock payouts versus Anonymous Cat's Zcash rewards, plus what each costs and where you can trade them. Explore the full breakdown now.

MarsCoin on BNB Chain pays holders in an exchange-issued tokenized SpaceX share and Anonymous Cat pays in Zcash, since each turns a 3% tax into its launch pool's pair asset. MarsCoin vs Anonymous Cat then splits on the ticket, because a payout needed about $977 of MARSCOIN at the Sunday 13 September close and $20 of ZCAT.

The cost starts before the first payout. MarsCoin's contract takes 3% on every pool buy and 3% on every sell, so holding 10,000 tokens after tax took about $1,007 at the 13 September close. ZCAT's mint takes 3% of every transfer, a move between your own wallets included, and a round trip on either token starts about 5.91% down.

How Do MarsCoin and Anonymous Cat Pay Their Holders?

Both tokens run the same loop on different chains. A trade pays a 3% tax, the tax gets swapped into the pool's pair asset, and every wallet above a threshold receives that asset in proportion to its balance.

MarsCoin runs the loop through a Flap tax token. Its contract reports a buy rate and a sell rate of 3% each, and its dividend contract names SPCXB as the payout token and 10,000 MarsCoin as the smallest balance that earns a share. MarsCoin's site calls the pot the SPCXB rewards vault and says holders above that line earn from it automatically. The SPCXB contract returns the name SpaceX, and the same site describes the token as the BNB Chain version of SPCX. Our MarsCoin explainer covers the pool that prices MarsCoin against SPCXB, and it predates the Phemex futures listing.

Anonymous Cat does the same job with Solana's Token-2022 standard, and the ZCAT transfer tax lives inside the mint as a 300 basis-point fee on every transfer. Withheld fees wait on token accounts until one authorized address sweeps them. StonkFun's rewards page says its reward launches pay holders pro rata in the quote token, and ZCAT's quote token is ZEC.

Our Anonymous Cat explainer walks through that sweep and the contract checks behind it, including the null mint and freeze authorities.

The launchpads explain the pairing. StonkFun lets a creator pick the quote asset at launch, which is how a Solana cat coin ended up trading against ZEC, and Flap offers the same choice on BNB Chain.

What Do MarsCoin and ZCAT Charge Before a Payout Arrives?

The ticket is the first cost. At the Sunday 13 September close, CoinGecko's snapshot priced 10,000 MarsCoin at about $977. CoinDesk reported on 7 September that ZCAT pays wallets holding at least $20 of the token, citing the project's dashboard, so the MarsCoin ticket costs about 49 times as much.

The buy tax lands on top of that ticket. MarsCoin's 3% buy rate means a wallet has to buy about 10,309 tokens to keep 10,000, which came to roughly $1,007 at the 13 September close. A ZCAT buyer who wants $20 left after the fee sends about $20.62.

Selling costs the same again. A second 3% on the way out means a full round trip on either token starts about 5.91% down before the price moves at all. On the MarsCoin ticket that's about $59 of tax against a $1,007 entry, and the SPCXB payouts have to cover it before the holder breaks even.

The difference that matters for a holder is what a wallet move costs. ZCAT's fee sits in the mint, so moving tokens between two wallets you own takes 3% like any trade, and consolidating a position across wallets gets expensive fast. MarsCoin's contract reports separate buy and sell rates, the design Flap introduced with its third tax-token version. Flap's documentation for that version says it taxes bonding-curve buys and pool trades and leaves wallet-to-wallet transfers alone.

Neither project publishes how much of the 3% reaches holders. Flap's documentation says the protocol keeps a portion of collected tax before the split, and MarsCoin's site says only that both taxes fund the SPCXB vault. CoinDesk wrote that most of ZCAT's tax converts into Zcash, which leaves the rest unaccounted for on the public record we could find.

Which Pays More Reliably, SpaceX Stock or Zcash?

SpaceX has traded on Nasdaq as SPCX since 12 June 2026, when it listed at $135 a share. SPCXB is an exchange-issued tokenized SpaceX share on BNB Chain, and MarsCoin's site says it mirrors SPCX one for one. That puts an issuer between every MarsCoin holder and the share, the structure our guide to how tokenized stocks work breaks down.

Zcash carries the price risk. ZEC closed the Sunday 13 September session at 1,062.40 on the Phemex futures contract, 13.3% below its 1,225.98 close of 6 September. The 2,320 ZEC that CoinDesk counted at about $2.8 million on 7 September came to about $2.46 million at the 13 September close, and no ZCAT holder had to do anything for that value to fall.

Our Zcash explainer covers the privacy network behind the payout and what drives demand for ZEC.

On those seven sessions the Zcash payout cost holders more than the SpaceX one did. The SpaceX token's risk is the issuer, which a chart won't show until something breaks. Phemex also lists SPCX-USDT futures on the SpaceX share price, so a trader who wants that exposure without the MarsCoin tax can hold it on its own.

How Did MARSCOIN and ZCAT Trade Into the 13 September Close?

The two tokens closed the Sunday 13 September session within 1.2 times of each other on market cap. MarsCoin's fixed supply of one billion tokens at CoinGecko's $0.097691 gives $97.69 million, and ZCAT's 968.78 million tokens at $0.084164 give $81.54 million. The Phemex futures close of 0.09752 puts MarsCoin at $97.52 million on the same supply.

Both took a hard session. MARSCOIN fell 16.10% on the Phemex futures contract, and ZCAT fell 29.4% on CoinGecko's series, the only feed we have for a token Phemex doesn't list. ZCAT's path runs wider than that one bar, from $0.0378 at the 5 September close to $0.1552 a session later, and it has given back 46% of that peak by the 13 September close.

The pools tell you what each token is priced in. On a DexScreener read on Monday 14 September, MarsCoin's deepest pool held about $1.57 million of liquidity against SPCXB, and ZCAT's deepest held about $1.52 million against ZEC. Each token's biggest market trades against the asset it pays out, so a drop in SpaceX or Zcash reprices the token and shrinks the payout in the same move.

Can You Trade MARSCOIN Futures or ZCAT on Phemex?

Phemex listed MARSCOIN-USDT futures on 11 September with up to 20x leverage. The product record sets funding every four hours in its interval field, and the contract's description text still says eight hours. Three sessions after listing, the contract closed at 0.09752, 20.5% below its first print of 0.1226.

A MARSCOIN futures position pays trading fees and funding and no token tax, because no token changes hands on chain. It also earns no SPCXB, since the vault pays wallets that hold the token and a futures account holds none. You can go short, which no on-chain holder of either token can do without borrowing.

Phemex has never listed ZCAT, as spot or futures. The payout asset has a market of its own, since ZEC-USDT futures trade with up to 50x leverage and fund every eight hours per the same product record. A trader who likes the ZCAT thesis for its Zcash exposure can take ZEC futures and skip the 3% on every move.

What Could Stop MarsCoin SPCXB Rewards or ZCAT Zcash Rewards?

On ZCAT, one address collects the fees. The mint names a single withdrawal authority, and ZCAT Zcash rewards flow only when that key sweeps the withheld tax and converts it. Nothing on chain obliges the key to keep doing so, and if it stops sweeping, the payouts stop with it.

On MarsCoin, the payouts depend on Flap's contracts and on the SPCXB issuer. The vault can only be as good as the share token it pays, and our guide to spotting a fake tokenized stock lists the checks to run on any share token before you rely on its payouts.

Both payouts come from trading. CoinDesk made the point for ZCAT, writing that the ZEC comes from other people buying, selling and transferring the token and that payouts shrink if trading dries up. MarsCoin's vault fills from its buy and sell taxes on the same logic, so a quiet market means a thin vault.

Copies add a cost of their own. CoinGecko lists several other tokens called MarsCoin, and same-name Anonymous Cat tokens trade on other chains, so match the contract address before you send anything to either one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone change the 3% tax on Anonymous Cat?

No key can. Our Solana RPC read on 14 September returned a null fee-configuration authority on the ZCAT mint, and StonkFun's rewards page says reward launches set their 1% or 3% rate permanently at launch.

Does MarsCoin pay SPCXB automatically or do holders claim it?

Both routes exist. MarsCoin's site says holders earn SPCXB automatically and that manual claiming is always available on Flap, and Flap's documentation says dividends go out each time the contract swaps its accumulated tax.

Does Anonymous Cat have a website of its own?

We found none. The token's on-chain metadata reads "Anonymous Cat was launched on StonkFun" and points its website field at StonkFun's site, and DexScreener lists no site for the Solana mint.

Bottom Line

Both tokens hand holders back part of the tax that traders pay, and the asset each one buys decides what that rebate holds. MarsCoin buys an exchange-issued tokenized SpaceX share and charges about $977 at the door. ZCAT buys Zcash for a $20 ticket and then takes 3% every time your tokens move, even between your own wallets.

For trading the pair on Phemex, MarsCoin wins, because MARSCOIN futures carry no token tax and let you go short. For a small wallet that wants the payouts, ZCAT wins on the ticket alone, provided you're willing to carry Zcash's price swings and a single key that controls every sweep.
