ETHGas (GWEI) is the governance token of an Ethereum blockspace-preconfirmation project, separate from the gwei gas unit, and one wallet cancelled a lock holding 600 million GWEI in late October 2026. Built on the token's own closes, this GWEI price prediction sets the 2026 base at $0.0213-$0.0227 and the 2030 base at $0.0226-$0.183.
That lock wasn't due to open until late January 2027, when the code opens about 7.89 billion GWEI against at most 1.098 billion outside the locks at the late-October close of $0.0227. So every range below rests on a schedule that one wallet has already shown it can rewrite, and January is the date that tests it.

What Is ETHGas Coin?
ETHGas coin is GWEI, the token of a project that runs a marketplace for Ethereum blockspace preconfirmations, and ETHGas's tokenomics page says it "serves as a governance token only" with no right to fees. The gwei in a gas quote is a separate unit worth 0.000000001 ETH, and it says nothing about how a token's internal economy works.
Where Is the GWEI Price After the Late-October Close?
GWEI closed late October 2026 at $0.0227 on CoinMarketCap, up 26.76% on the day and its highest close since 26 September. The day before, it had fallen 14.94% to $0.01791, so the two days together added 7.82%. CoinGecko's series shows the same shape with a lower finish, -15.31% and then +24.77% to $0.02222.
CoinMarketCap counted $21.39 million of GWEI traded on the rise, 3.72 times the $5.75 million median of the 30 days before it. A day like that wasn't rare for this token, since 16 of its 282 daily moves from launch to late October reached +20% or more and 34 reached -10% or worse.
ETHGas's docs and about 1,200 GWEI transfers on Ethereum across those days and the day before show no dated ETHGas cause for either move.
What Did the Lock Cancel Change?
One wallet pulled 600 million GWEI out of a lock in late October 2026, sent 6.249 million to a second wallet and returned 593.751 million within three hours. It's the wallet that received the whole 10 billion GWEI mint in January 2026, and the lock wasn't due to open for another three months.
The lock went back 6.249 million short of its own 600 million figure, a gap of 0.0625% of the supply worth about $141,900 at the late-October close. The second wallet, which had taken 1,000 GWEI from the first wallet three days earlier, held 6.25 million at that close and had sent nothing out.
GWEI's closes read +2.16% on the day of the cancel and -1.28% the day after, so the price showed no visible reaction.
A simulated cancel sent from that wallet still succeeded on all five locks holding 80.14% of the supply at the late-October close. The same call sent from an unrelated address failed its access check. Each of the five named that wallet as its beneficiary. None had been accepted, the step in the code that shuts a cancel off, and the call reverted on two other locks that had been.
Four of the five, holding about 7.89 billion GWEI at that close, reach their opening date in late January 2027. ETHGas's tokenomics table implies a first cliff of 510 million, being 10% of the 51% that goes to investors, team and advisers. That's the lock-then-release pattern behind crypto vesting and cliffs.
The code's late-January figure runs 15.48 times that, though no lock says which allocation it serves. The beneficiary on all of it was one wallet at that close, so the date poses a supply question only that wallet can answer.
Method: Ethereum logs for every LockCanceled event from any contract between the 10 billion mint and the late-October close, plus every GWEI transfer in or out of the locks and the wallet. A simulated call tests a transaction at that close's last block without executing it. The one cancel in that span is transaction 0xa46fe8d128dafff2be21193c499688cf11618b936f17cd2c97a14e28de7d72e8, dated 22 October 2026.
A census of 91 candidate addresses found 16 lock contracts holding 89.02% of the supply at that close, a floor, so the 1.098 billion outside them was a ceiling.
Check: CoinGecko's implied circulating supply, one tracker's figure, stepped up by exactly 6.249 million at its next daily reading. The wallet's transfers in and out reconcile to its balance at the close, to the token.
What Does GWEI's Price History Show?
GWEI's CoinMarketCap series runs from its 21 January 2026 launch to late October. From a $0.02129 close on 22 January it climbed 756.3% to a record close of $0.1823 on 12 June, 8.563 times that close, and its highest intraday print came on 29 June at $0.2491.
The fall took far less time. A $0.1444 close on 5 July became the closing low to late October, $0.01485 on 1 August, down 89.72% in 27 days and 91.85% under the record close. ETHGas's docs carry no dated cause for that fall.
The highest close since that low, to late October, was $0.03291 on 7 August. GWEI's late-October close stood 87.55% under the record close, which was 8.03 times the late-October level, and 52.83% above the closing low.
GWEI Technical Analysis
Support
GWEI's nearest support at the close was the 50-day average of $0.02140, 5.74% under the price. Below it stood the late-October low close of $0.01791, 21.11% under the price, and then the $0.01485 closing low since launch.
Resistance
The $0.02281 close of 26 September stood 0.49% over the price at the late-October close, the last close above it to that date. Past that came the $0.03291 close of 7 August, 44.97% above the price. The 200-day average of $0.06636 stood 192.3% above the price.
The Moving Averages
GWEI closed late October 2026 above its 50-day average and 65.79% under its 200-day. The 50-day itself stood 67.75% under the 200-day, and on all 84 closes since both averages first existed on 8 August 2026 the 50-day and the price both stayed below it. CoinMarketCap's series held no golden cross to late October.
GWEI Price Prediction 2026
An ETHGas price prediction for the rest of 2026 has no large lock date, since the first one still ahead among those 16 contracts falls in mid-January 2027. That leaves the averages in charge.

Each bound is a CoinMarketCap level, with the bear running from the 1 August 2026 closing low to the 50-day average and the base from the 50-day to the late-October close. A bull year would run from that close to the 7 August 2026 close.
The base band is narrow because the 50-day and the close stood only 5.74% apart, and GWEI's late-October daily rise was more than four times that gap.
GWEI Price Prediction 2027
A GWEI token price prediction for 2027 starts with supply. About 886 million GWEI in two accepted locks reach their date in mid-January 2027, then about 7.89 billion in late January, against at most 1.098 billion outside the locks at the close. Holding any price needs the market value to absorb those tokens or the locks to stay shut.
The 2027 bear range is $0.0148-$0.0227, from the 1 August 2026 closing low to the late-October close. The base is $0.0226-$0.0330, from that close to the 7 August 2026 close. A bull year would run $0.0329-$0.0664, from there to the 200-day average.
GWEI Price Prediction 2028
For 2028 the bear range is $0.0148-$0.0214, from the closing low to the 50-day average. The base is $0.0213-$0.0664, from the 50-day to the 200-day. The bull is $0.0663-$0.183, from the 200-day to the 12 June 2026 record close.
A GWEI coin price prediction at that top asks a lot of the supply. A price of $0.183 on the 10 billion supply is $1.83 billion, while the same measure came to $227.0 million at the close, the gap explained in fully diluted market cap and what it means.
GWEI Price Prediction 2030
For 2030 the base case is $0.0226-$0.183, from the late-October close to the record close, with a bear range of $0.0148-$0.0227. The bull runs $0.182-$0.250, from the record close to the 29 June 2026 intraday high on CoinMarketCap.
GWEI has one completed cycle on those closes, so price discovery above that intraday print isn't a number the series can support. The table gives 2029 as well, when the base runs from the 7 August 2026 close to the record close.

What Could Drive GWEI Higher or Lower?
-
The mid-January 2027 locks. Two accepted locks holding 586 million and 300 million GWEI at the close reach their opening date, and a simulated cancel reverted on both. How fast those tokens leave gives you the first read on the January supply.
-
The late-January date. Whatever that one wallet does at the date shows on Ethereum first, so you can watch it there. An acceptance would shut the cancel route on a lock, and a release would show where the tokens go.
-
The late-April 2027 lock. A lock funded with 120 million GWEI on 13 August 2026 reaches its date, the last of the five. It arrived almost seven months after launch, so the set of locks wasn't fixed on day one.
-
Two products still labelled as coming. In late October 2026 ETHGas's docs still estimated Base Fee Futures and Execution Preconfirmations for the second half of 2026, on pages last updated two years before. Neither had shipped by its own label, and a slip past December would be a dated miss.
-
The veGWEI balance. The vote-escrow contract held 8.237 million GWEI at the close, 0.082% of the supply and down 79.94% from its 41.07 million peak of late February 2026. Of all GWEI sent in by that close, 93.92% came through one claim contract. Governance is the only job ETHGas's tokenomics page gives the token, the model behind veTokens and decentralized governance, so that balance shows how little of the supply was doing it.
What Are the Risks of Investing in ETHGas?
One Wallet Could Reach 8.014 Billion GWEI at the Close
The largest lock's code sets no waiting period on a cancel, and the one cancel on record by the late-October close went from pull to refill in about two and a half hours. So at that close a supply figure you read on those five locks could change inside a day, before any tracker's daily number caught it.
The Circulating Figure Depends on the Count
Circulating supply versus total supply is the usual dilution question, and GWEI has four answers to it. Each one below is a late-October count, valued at the $0.0227 CoinMarketCap close.

CoinMarketCap's figure stayed flat across all 283 of its daily rows to late October. A market cap quoted for GWEI nearly doubles depending on which row sits behind it.
A Record Set in the First Five Months
GWEI printed its record close less than five months after launch, so every long-range bull case here ends at prices from June 2026. With 283 closes to late October and one completed cycle, each range has a thin record behind it.
Is GWEI a Good Investment?
GWEI is a hard case on the evidence to late October 2026, because at least 89.02% of its supply was in lock contracts and one wallet could cancel most of that. ETHGas's tokenomics page says holding GWEI "is not a passive investment" and gives it no right to revenue, so the case for holding it rests on price and on incentives that page says aren't guaranteed.
Supply is the weak point here. What would change that read is public, and you can check it on Ethereum. An acceptance on the five locks would end the cancel route. The code's separate revoke call doesn't check for one, since a simulated revoke from that wallet still worked on the largest lock with acceptance forced on.
How to Get Exposure to GWEI
-
GWEI is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and ETHGas's tokenomics page prints its contract address, so match that address before you swap anything for it.
-
Phemex's GWEIUSDT perpetual closed under a May 2026 notice and its GWEI/USDT spot pair under a September 2026 notice.
-
Staking GWEI gives you veGWEI, the voting form that the same tokenomics page describes.
-
Majors such as BTC and ETH trade as crypto futures on Phemex. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the GWEI price prediction for 2026?
GWEI's 2026 base case is $0.0213-$0.0227, from its 50-day average to its late-October 2026 close on CoinMarketCap. Its bear range is $0.0148-$0.0214 and its bull range $0.0226-$0.0330.
What is the GWEI price prediction for 2030?
A 2030 base case of $0.0226-$0.183 runs between the late-October 2026 close and the 12 June 2026 record close. Its bull range of $0.182-$0.250 stops at the 29 June 2026 intraday high, the highest price GWEI had printed by late October 2026.
Is GWEI bullish or bearish?
GWEI's trend read bearish at the late-October 2026 close, 65.79% under its 200-day average with the 50-day still under the 200-day. It had closed above the 50-day after a 26.76% one-day rise.
What is gwei token?
GWEI is the governance token of ETHGas, an Ethereum blockspace project, with a 10 billion supply minted in January 2026. The gas unit that shares its name is a fraction of ETH, 0.000000001 ETH.
Is ETHGas legit?
This page gives no verdict, and what you can check is on Ethereum. The GWEI locks are public, one wallet cancelled one of them in late October 2026 and a simulated cancel from it still worked on five at the close.
Can GWEI reach its all-time high again?
Getting back to the $0.1823 record close of 12 June 2026 would take an 8.03-fold rise from the late-October 2026 close. Only the 2028 to 2030 ranges reach that close, and only 2029 and 2030 reach the $0.2491 intraday high, with about 7.89 billion GWEI due in late January 2027.
Bottom Line
The late-October cancel left the lock only 0.0625% of the supply short, and the size is what makes it telling. A wallet with reach over most of GWEI's supply used the route, put nearly everything back and left the route open, so the January date tests a choice as much as a schedule.
Anyone pricing GWEI past late January 2027 is pricing what that wallet does next. On price, a close under the $0.02140 50-day average as it stood at the late-October close would end the 2026 base case.
