Plasma (XPL), the stablecoin blockchain's token, still had 5.24 billion of its 10 billion supply scheduled for release when it closed late October 2026. This Plasma price prediction sets XPL's base case at $0.0813-$0.115 for 2026 and $0.114-$0.210 for 2030, and the chain shows most of that unreleased supply in plain wallets.
XPL closed late October at $0.08138 on CoinMarketCap, up 12.33% on the day after a 5.48% fall. From there the schedule adds about 227.78 million XPL a month and takes scheduled supply up 2.10 times by late September 2028. Hold the market cap flat and that arithmetic alone points to $0.0387, so each range below has to name its dilution.

What Is Plasma (XPL)?
Plasma is a purpose-built blockchain for payments in stablecoin tokens, and XPL is its native token, which pays for transactions and rewards the validators that secure it. It shares a name with blood plasma and with Ethereum's old Plasma scaling design, and this page covers only the stablecoin chain.
Where Is the XPL Price After the Late-October Close?
XPL closed late October 2026 at $0.08138 on CoinMarketCap, 12.33% above the previous day's $0.07245. That earlier close had fallen 5.48% from $0.07665, and it was XPL's lowest close since the 10 June 2026 low. CoinGecko's closes show the same two days at -5.64% and +12.25%, ending at $0.08128. Phemex spot rose 11.42% to $0.0810 on the second day.
A one-day rise that large or larger made up 17 of the 400 daily moves in CoinMarketCap's series, or 4.25% of them.
That tracker counted $122.0 million of XPL traded on the day, against a $65.06 million median over the 30 days before it. That's volume on one tracker, never depth.
Phemex's BTC and ETH perpetuals closed that same day down 0.85% and 0.37%, while 71 of the 139 listed Phemex perpetuals with a move on that bar closed higher.
By the late-October close Plasma's blog carried no post dated after 1 October 2026, and neither its docs index nor its network page gave a dated cause for either day's move.
Where Is the XPL Supply the Schedule Calls Unreleased?
Most of it has to sit in plain wallets, because the chain's own balances leave no room for it inside contracts.
Start with the number on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. Both trackers print the same 4.76 billion XPL as circulating, which matches the published schedule's arithmetic to the token. CoinMarketCap's daily history held 1.8 billion flat until 10 July 2026, then stepped to 2.6 billion and moved only in schedule-sized jumps to late October, so the figure follows a calendar.

Two wallets each received exactly 2.5 billion XPL in November 2025, and by the late-October close they held about 1.23 billion between them. Their size matches the team and investor allocations, and the schedule still treats 3.194 billion of that XPL as unreleased. If the two 2.5 billion wallets hold those allocations, at least 1.966 billion of the unreleased XPL had left them by the close.
A transfer out of those wallets is not a sale, and one wallet that took 555.55 million XPL from them had sent no transaction by the late-October close. That XPL arrived in one piece on 27 January 2026 and hadn't moved by the close.
Four large accounts carried no contract code at the close, both 2.5 billion wallets and the 555.55 million recipient among them. A transfer simulated as sent from each one returned success, so those accounts have no lock contract to test. Custody terms or a legal agreement can still bind a plain wallet, and the chain can't rule either out.
A re-read of 100 accounts from a public holder list put 8.589 billion XPL in 96 plain accounts and 603 million in four contracts at the close. Even if every token outside that list sat in a contract, contracts would hold at most 1.411 billion against the 5.24 billion still scheduled.
That gap between the circulating count and the total is the dilution risk behind circulating supply vs total supply.
Method: every close balance and contract check comes from the chain's public RPC at the last block of the late-October close, and weekly balance reads from 20 September 2025 narrowed each transfer to its exact block.
Check: a second read of both wallet balances and of the transfer's sender and transaction count returned identical figures, and a public holder list showed the larger wallet's 1.037 billion too.
What Does the XPL Unlock Schedule Do to the Price?
It adds about 227.78 million XPL to the scheduled count on the 25th of each month, 4.78% of the 4.761 billion counted as circulating at the close. One release came to $18.54 million at the $0.08138 close. The next falls on 25 November 2026 and the last in late September 2028.
The split behind that rhythm comes from an October 2025 risk review on Aave's governance forum, which gives investors and the team 25% each. Ecosystem and growth gets 40% and the public sale 10%. Balances at the chain's genesis block match it to within 600 XPL.
One-third of team and investor XPL carries a one-year cliff with the rest monthly over two years, the pattern laid out in crypto vesting and cliffs. And 80% of the ecosystem share unlocks monthly over three years.

That last column is arithmetic and never a forecast, the $387.4 million cap at the close divided by each date's scheduled supply. Fully diluted value stood at $813.8 million, 2.10 times the cap, and what fully diluted market cap means for future value is the question each range below has to answer.
The fee burn doesn't dent it. A five-minute sample of 300 blocks to the close scales to about 0.0000022 XPL a day.
What Does XPL's Price History Show?
XPL's first CoinMarketCap close was $1.270 on its 25 September 2025 launch day, and two days later it set its record close of $1.630. Its highest intraday print to late October 2026 came on 28 September 2025 at $1.685, though CoinGecko dates its own high a day earlier.
XPL closed at $1 or more only seven times, the last at $1.041 on 6 October 2025. It closed at $0.3340 on 7 November 2025 and $0.1614 on 31 December 2025, and its highest 2026 close to late October was $0.2093 on 6 January. The slide then ran to $0.06126 on 10 June 2026, its lowest close to late October.
From that low XPL rose 86.98% to $0.1145 on 25 September 2026, the day the one-year cliff fell due. By the late-October close XPL sat 28.96% under that high and 95.01% under the record close, and 49.60% under the 31 December 2025 close.
Both the record close and the 6 October 2025 close sat more than ten times the late-October price, at 20.03 and 12.79 times. Those early prints stay out of the ranges below, and the 7 November 2025 close tops those ranges.
XPL Technical Analysis
Support
XPL's nearest floor at the close was the prior day's $0.07245, 10.97% under the price. Below it stood the $0.06126 June low, which the close sat 32.83% above, and no lower close existed to late October.
Resistance
Overhead stood the 50-day average at $0.08689, 6.77% above the close. The 200-day stood at $0.08929, 9.73% above it. Past those sat the $0.1145 close of 25 September 2026 and the $0.1408 close of 13 April 2026, which needed rises of 40.77% and 72.99% from the close.
The Moving Averages
XPL's late-October close finished 8.87% under its 200-day average and 6.34% under its 50-day, and it hadn't closed above either since 5 October 2026.
That 50-day sat 2.70% under the 200-day and had stayed below it on all 202 closes since the 200-day first existed on 12 April 2026. So CoinMarketCap's closes showed no golden cross by late October 2026, and only 21 of those 202 closes landed above the 200-day.
Plasma Price Prediction 2026
This Plasma crypto price prediction builds every range from XPL's CoinMarketCap closes and their 200-day average. Two releases still fall in 2026, on 25 November and 25 December, and they take scheduled supply to 5.217 billion.

XPL clears its 25 September close and reaches April's
|
From the 10 June 2026 closing low to the late-October close is the bear range, and from that close to the 25 September 2026 close is the base. A bull year runs on from there to the 13 April 2026 close.
Our weight goes on the base, since it asks XPL to retake a 200-day average it last closed above on 5 October 2026. A close under $0.06126 would break every range on this page, since the lowest ones floor there.
Plasma Price Prediction 2027
The XPL price prediction 2027 base case is $0.0892-$0.141, from the 200-day average to the 13 April 2026 close. Twelve releases land that year, 2.733 billion XPL in all, and they take scheduled supply to 7.95 billion by December.
A bear year runs $0.0612-$0.0893, from the June low to the 200-day. The bull is $0.140-$0.210, from the 13 April 2026 close to the 6 January 2026 close.
Plasma Price Prediction 2028
The last nine releases fall between January and late September 2028, adding 2.05 billion XPL and ending the schedule at 10 billion. For 2028 the base is $0.114-$0.191, from the 25 September 2026 close to the 4 December 2025 close of $0.1901.
Its bear range is $0.0612-$0.0814. The bull is $0.190-$0.334, from that December close to the 7 November 2025 close.
Plasma Price Prediction 2030
This XPL price prediction 2030 range has to carry the whole schedule. Scheduled supply rises 2.10 times, from 4.76 billion at the close to 10 billion by late September 2028. So a 2030 base price of $0.114-$0.210 means a market value of about $1.14-$2.10 billion on the full supply, against $387 million at the close.
That base runs from the 25 September 2026 close to the 6 January 2026 close. A bear 2030 is $0.0612-$0.0893 and a bull $0.209-$0.334, which stops at the 7 November 2025 close because XPL's 401 closes to late October hold no completed cycle to stretch it further. The table adds 2029, with a base from the 13 April 2026 close to the 6 January 2026 close.

What About 2035 and 2040?
A 2035 or 2040 price for XPL only works as the yearly growth it needs from the $0.08138 close, counted to 1 January 2036 and 1 January 2041.

These rates are arithmetic and they forecast nothing. On 10 billion XPL, $1 would mean a $10 billion market value, about 25.81 times the cap at the close.
Will Plasma XPL Recover?
Getting back to the 7 November 2025 close takes a 4.104-fold rise from the late-October close, and the schedule makes that harder than the chart suggests. On 10 billion XPL that price is a $3.34 billion market value, 8.62 times the cap at the close.
Two dated items sit on the demand side. In a joint mid-October 2026 release, Stripe and Plasma announced multi-currency stablecoin cards for 30-plus countries, with Plasma as design partner.
Plasma's 22 October 2025 licensing post said it had acquired a VASP-licensed entity in Italy and would apply for CASP authorization under MiCA.
Neither document mentions XPL. How much of that card and licensing work reaches the token is a question about how a crypto token's internal economy works, and neither one answers it.
What Are the Risks of Investing in XPL?
Twenty-Three Releases Still to Land
Twenty-three monthly releases remained after the close, adding up to more supply than all the XPL counted as circulating. Hold through them and you absorb every one at a price the market sets month by month.
A Tracker Count That Can Lag
Until 10 July 2026, CoinMarketCap's cap rested on a count as much as 800 million under the schedule, and its September step landed three days after the cliff. Any cap comparison built on a tracker's history inherits those gaps.
Plain Wallets Can Move at Any Time
On the chain, a plain wallet sends whenever its key-holder chooses. The 555.55 million XPL balance equals 2.44 monthly releases, so its first outbound transfer would be the clearest single supply signal on the chain.
A Record Set in the First Week
XPL's record close came two days after launch, and every range here leans on one long slide and one rebound. That's a thin record for a five-year view, and the supply schedule is its weakest point.
How to Get Exposure to XPL
XPL trades on Phemex spot as XPL/USDT, and Phemex's XPLUSDT perpetual closed under an August 2026 notice.
-
Open a Phemex account and fund it with USDT.
-
Go to the XPL/USDT spot market and place a market or limit order.
-
On Plasma itself XPL is the native coin, and the Aave review describes WXPL as its wrapped ERC-20 form, minted at a one-to-one ratio.
-
Phemex's crypto futures cover other markets such as BTC and ETH, and XPL's own perpetual is delisted. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Plasma price prediction for 2026?
XPL's 2026 base case is $0.0813-$0.115, from its late-October 2026 close to its 25 September 2026 close on CoinMarketCap. The bear range is $0.0612-$0.0814 and the bull range $0.114-$0.141.
What is the Plasma price prediction for 2030?
The 2030 base case is $0.114-$0.210, or about $1.14-$2.10 billion in market value on 10 billion XPL. The bear range is $0.0612-$0.0893, and the bull range of $0.209-$0.334 stops at the 7 November 2025 close.
Is XPL bullish or bearish?
XPL's trend read bearish at the late-October 2026 close, with the price under both averages and the 50-day under the 200-day. Its key support was the $0.06126 closing low of 10 June 2026, even after a 12.33% one-day rise.
Can XPL reach its all-time high again?
Retaking the $1.630 record close of 27 September 2025 takes a 20.03-fold rise from the late-October 2026 close. None of the ranges here goes that high, and on 10 billion XPL that price would mean a $16.30 billion market value.
Is plasma crypto a good investment?
XPL's record to late October 2026 doesn't settle it. The token closed 95.01% under its record close and 32.83% above its lowest close, and a long hold has to outlast 5.24 billion XPL of scheduled releases.
Is plasma crypto a good buy?
At the late-October 2026 close you paid for a $387 million market value, with the price under both moving averages. Scheduled supply rises 2.10 times by late September 2028, so price alone can't answer it.
Bottom Line
XPL's 4.76 billion is a calendar entry, and the chain shows no contract holding the rest of that calendar to its dates. So two dates matter next. The schedule prints the first, 25 November 2026. No schedule prints the second, the day the 555.55 million XPL wallet first sends.
The 2026 base case lives on XPL retaking the close's $0.08929 200-day average against that supply, and a close under the June low would leave all of these ranges behind.
