Quantus Network has launched its public testnet, introducing a quantum-secure platform aimed at protecting digital assets. The network incorporates post-quantum cryptography (PQC) at the protocol level, providing quantum resistance with features such as quantum-secure wallets and reversible transactions. The mainnet is expected to go live in Q1 2026. Led by Christopher Smith and Joseph Mattia, the project seeks to safeguard digital wealth from the potential threats posed by quantum computing. With over 90% of current blockchains relying on elliptic-curve cryptography, which is susceptible to quantum attacks, Quantus Network is pioneering the adoption of NIST-approved PQC standards, including Kyber, Dilithium, and SPHINCS+.
