World’s independent prediction market site, world.xyz, launched on September 9 to more than 1 million waitlist users but went offline temporarily after traffic overloaded the platform. The Solana-based platform opened markets covering NFL regular season games, seven major football leagues, F1, the 2026 midterm elections, and the Federal Reserve’s next interest rate decision.
The traffic spike was driven by a first-transaction reward campaign that paid users in Phantom’s USD stablecoin CASH after account creation, X account linking, and a completed prediction trade. Community reports cited rewards as high as about $500, though World has not published a fixed reward table. The team said all funds are safe and reward activities will resume after repairs.
World had operated inside Phantom since July and has launched more than 150,000 markets. Its current total prediction trading volume is about $31 million with roughly 53,600 independent predictors, compared with Polymarket’s reported $2.34 billion weekly volume on August 17 and about 573,000 active addresses in July.
