Priors, an on-chain credit scoring protocol for AI agents built on Robinhood Chain, has surpassed a $12.4 million market capitalization with its native PRIORS token trading at $0.0125 across 4,066 holders. The protocol issues small-value USDG loans to agents compliant with the ERC-8004 standard — an identity and reputation framework jointly promoted by the Ethereum Foundation, Google, and Coinbase — recording every repayment and default event on-chain to generate verifiable credit scores.
The system requires agents to register on-chain identities backed by First-Loss Capital from sponsors or owners before accessing credit lines ranging from $5 to $500, with terms of one day to one month and a base interest rate of approximately 1% per 30-day period. Defaulting agents see their credit scores reset to zero, while bad debts are fully backstopped by junior tranche funds from endorsers, ensuring senior lenders suffer no principal or interest losses. Protocol data shows nearly 50,000 cumulative repayments totaling over $360,000 in principal repaid across approximately 292 agents, though TVL remains modest at $6,600.
PRIORS tokens serve as endorsement capital rather than a payment tool — agent owners stake tokens into the SeatVaultV5 contract to activate or expand credit lines, earning 25% of borrowing interest spread during the staking period. The token's maximum supply has contracted from 1 billion to approximately 918.37 million through default burn mechanisms that now destroy 75% of tokens from defaulting addresses. Core code is open-source on GitHub, though smart contracts have not yet undergone external audits.
