Mouro Capital, backed by Santander, has successfully closed its third fund at $400 million, focusing on the integration of AI, blockchain, and next-generation financial infrastructure. The London-based venture firm aims to invest in startups that are innovating in areas such as payments, lending, insurance, and core banking systems through software and automation. This new fund increases Mouro's total capital under management to over $1 billion since its inception in 2015.
The firm has already allocated funds to seven companies, including ElevenLabs and Sakana AI, and is targeting AI-native interfaces, stablecoins, and decentralized finance as key components of the future financial landscape. Mouro's portfolio includes M^ZERO, a decentralized stablecoin infrastructure, highlighting its commitment to supporting both AI and blockchain technologies.
