Birch Hill, a New York-based fintech startup founded by former Goldman Sachs and BlackRock employees, has closed a $4 million seed round led by Multicoin Capital. The funding round included participation from ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures, and Nascent, bringing the company’s total capital raised to $6.5 million.
The firm serves as an official vault curator for the lending protocol Morpho and is actively pursuing regulatory compliance to expand its reach. Birch Hill has applied for broker-dealer registration with FINRA, which would enable it to sell private credit products to accredited investors upon approval. Additionally, the company met with the SEC's crypto task force in August to align its operations with U.S. regulatory frameworks.
Birch Hill plans to package and securitize loans related to U.S. multifamily housing, agriculture, and energy sectors, bringing these assets on-chain. The current team consists of eight members, including three former Yearn contributors and one ex-Gauntlet employee.
