On-chain detective ZachXBT reported that an institutional entity had 973,000 MORPHO tokens—worth approximately $2.3 million—stolen from two addresses in a recent exploit. The stolen funds have been deposited into Tornado Cash. Both compromised addresses were affected through EIP-7702 account delegation transactions.
ZachXBT's investigation revealed that one of the victim entities had previously suffered a separate theft of roughly $3.5 million on October 9. Those assets originated from legacy cross-chain bridge claims and were subsequently moved from Ethereum to Zcash via NEAR Intents before entering the Ironwood privacy pool. ZachXBT also noted an on-chain connection between the victim address and an address suspected to belong to Nima Capital.
