Evan Keast is a co-founder of the Doodles NFT brand, whose 10,000-character collection runs on a contract that still lets its owner multisig mint a 10,001st Doodle. He launched the collection on Ethereum in October 2021 with fellow Dapper Labs alumnus Jordan Castro and the artist burnt toast.
The census behind that claim replays every Doodles transfer to the late-October close and counts 4,566 addresses holding the 10,000, with 3,603 of them holding exactly one. The public sale stopped where the code told it to. The owner's reserve function skips that check, and the 2021 owner multisig used it on 18 October 2021 to mint itself 504 Doodles in three calls.

Who Is Evan Keast?
Keast is one of three Doodles NFT founders named in Techcouver's November 2021 launch report. It says Doodles "was founded by Dapper Labs alumni Evan Keast and Jordan Castro, and world-renowned artist burnt toast". The trio chose WestCoastNFT, a Vancouver smart-contract agency, as launch partner. The report calls the agency a custom smart-contract specialist that works directly with artists. It doesn't say who wrote the Doodles contract.
Doodles appears in Phemex's academy primer on blue-chip NFTs as one of two leading examples of a project whose creators, Keast among them, became popular after their collection launched.
The sharpest fact about the company Keast co-founded is written into its code. Doodles shipped a public mint that stops at 10,000 and an owner function that doesn't, and a two-of-five multisig controlled that second function at the late-October close.
Evan Keast's Career: From Dapper Labs to Doodles
Techcouver describes Keast and Castro as Dapper Labs alumni in both its 2021 launch report and its 2022 report on the company's new chief executive. Dapper Labs lists CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot among its products on its About page, and neither Techcouver report says which team Keast worked on there.
The Doodles contract went onto Ethereum on 16 October 2021. Its deployer handed ownership to a multisig on 17 October 2021, while the mint of Keast's collection was under way.
Doodles named former Billboard president Julian Holguin partner and CEO in May 2022. The announcement quoted Evan Keast, Doodles co-founder, on what the hire would bring. "Julian's vast experience as a music and media executive will help Doodles reach billions of fans," Keast said, according to Techcouver's May 2022 report.
No source cited here gives Keast a later dated title than that May 2022 quote, so his role on this page carries that date.
Three years later, MediaPost reported in May 2025 that Penske Media had named Holguin CEO of Rolling Stone.
Control of the contract changed hands once more on 7 May 2024, when ownership moved from the 2021 multisig to the newer multisig that held it at the late-October close.
Who Created Doodles NFT?
Evan Keast and Jordan Castro created Doodles NFT with the artist burnt toast, who designed the characters, according to Techcouver's 2021 launch report. The contract builds each Doodle on the ERC-721 standard for creating NFTs, so every one of the 10,000 characters is a separate token numbered from 0 to 9,999.
The contract priced each Doodle at 0.123 ETH and let public buyers mint at most five in one transaction. The 10,000 went out within about 13 hours to 1,852 addresses, starting on 17 October 2021.
The 2021 owner multisig took 504 of them, or 5.04%, through two reserve calls of 200 and one of 104 on 18 October 2021. Those calls landed partway through the sale, and 4,090 more Doodles were minted after them.
How Many Doodles Are There?
There were exactly 10,000 Doodles at the late-October close, numbered 0 to 9,999, and the last mint took place on 18 October 2021. The contract Keast's team launched still leaves room for more.
Doodles' code caps public minting at 10,000, but its reserve function has no cap, and a simulated mint sent from the owner multisig's address succeeded in late October 2026. The same call from one signer's own address failed, and so did one from a random address. Token number 10,000 did not exist at the late-October close, so the multisig's call would have created a 10,001st Doodle.
A second simulation let the same multisig change the base address behind every Doodle's metadata. That address points to files on the IPFS file network, and those files hold the image and traits you see for each token in an app.
A total of 4,566 addresses held the 10,000 Doodles at the late-October close, and a contract named Space Doodles held 2,190 of them. That stake is 21.90% of the collection and about 24 times the 91 held by the next-largest address.
That next-largest address is a contract whose on-chain name calls it a user vault, and another top-ten holder's name calls it a multi-source loan contract. Both are the kind of contract that holds collateralized NFTs while a loan runs.
The owner multisig needed two of its five signers to act at the late-October close. It last executed a transaction on 30 September 2026 when it added a signer, and a proposal from that day to add a sixth while keeping the two-signature rule had one of its two confirmations in late October 2026.
Method: the census replays all of the contract's transfer events from its deployment to the last Ethereum block before the late-October close, about 205,800 in total, and decodes the three reserve transactions. The simulations ran at that block on three public RPC providers, against the verified source published on Sourcify.
Check: the contract's own supply count reads 10,000, its balance for the Space Doodles contract reads 2,190, and three sampled token numbers resolve to the addresses the census gives.
How Do You Trade Crypto Futures on Phemex?
The DOOD token's perpetual on Phemex was delisted on an August 2026 notice, and its DOOD/USDT spot pair followed on a September 2026 notice. Phemex runs perpetual futures on major coins such as bitcoin and ether, the currency Keast's Doodles were priced in. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
-
Open a Phemex account, deposit USDT and move it into the futures wallet.
-
Pick a perpetual such as ETHUSDT and set leverage low enough to sit through a sharp move against you.
-
Place a stop-loss with the entry so the trade closes at a loss you chose in advance.

Is Doodles crypto a good investment?
DOOD is the token of the Doodles NFT ecosystem, and our Doodles (DOOD) price prediction covers its supply risk and its price scenarios for 2026 to 2030. This page covers the NFT contract, where an owner multisig can still mint past 10,000.
