The NEAR ecosystem application SweatEconomy experienced a significant security breach, resulting in the theft of approximately 13.71 billion SWEAT tokens, which accounts for about 65% of the total token supply. The attack, monitored by Blockaid, saw multiple Sweat Foundation-related accounts emptied within 30 seconds, with the stolen funds transferred through Ref Finance and the Wormhole/Portal Bridge. In response, the official SWEAT team announced that all user external account balances have been fully restored, and operations have returned to normal. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
