OpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Terra, a new model focused on computer operation capabilities that can understand screen content and execute actions across applications. The standard API price is 50% lower than its predecessor, GPT-5.6 Terra. On the Agents' Last Exam benchmark—measuring agents' ability to use office software—GPT-6.1 Terra performs comparably to GPT-6 Astra while costing only one-tenth per token. Its average task completion speed exceeds three times that of both GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol. The model is available starting today to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users of ChatGPT Work and Codex, as well as developers via API.
