MoonPay has acquired Dawn Labs, an AI startup that enables users to create automated trading strategies for prediction markets using plain English commands. Announced on May 11, the acquisition marks MoonPay's strategic expansion beyond its core crypto payment services. Alongside the acquisition, MoonPay introduced the Dawn CLI, an AI trading agent that automates market research, coding, backtesting, and trade execution on platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi. Dawn Labs, founded by Neeraj Prasad, developed technology that allows users to describe trading strategies in conversational language, which AI then translates into executable trades. This innovation simplifies the trading process, making it accessible to a broader audience. MoonPay's acquisition aligns with its broader strategy to integrate AI-enhanced financial tools, complementing its existing infrastructure that serves over 30 million customers globally. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
