A New Jersey bankruptcy court has approved the reopening of bidding for Poolin’s Texas Bitcoin mining assets, with Hut 8’s affiliate remaining the stalking bidder under a deal valued up to $180 million. The proposal includes $100 million payable at closing and up to $80 million in milestone payments tied to future data center developments involving AI, high-performance computing, cloud services, and hosting facilities, excluding crypto mining infrastructure.
Poolin had previously selected a $140 million transaction, but the auction was restarted following bidding disputes. The public auction is scheduled for October 2, with competing bids due by October 1. The court stated the renewed bidding process aims to maximize returns for creditors.
