The Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) has officially launched as a global nonprofit organization aimed at enhancing the Ethereum applications ecosystem. Announced on April 30, EAG focuses on expanding the ecosystem from infrastructure to application layers through four main pillars: promoting real-world application adoption, connecting cross-sector networks, establishing unified frameworks, and creating sustainable funding mechanisms. EAG operates on a two-track model: a membership contribution system based on institutional scale and a staking yield donation mechanism that allocates a portion of ETH staking rewards to an ecosystem growth fund. Additionally, EAG introduced its 2026 Global Applications and Developers Program, which includes developer education, hackathons, research initiatives, and regional roadshows to bolster local developer communities.
