The Dutch central bank released its first-ever statistics on crypto asset holdings, revealing that households held approximately €3.2 billion in digital assets through domestic service providers as of the end of June 2026. This figure represents 1.4% of total household investments in stocks, funds, and bonds. Bitcoin dominated the holdings with roughly €1.5 billion, followed by Ethereum at about €300 million. Stablecoins accounted for less than 1% of the total. The data excludes assets held by Dutch residents at foreign exchanges or in self-custody wallets, as well as indirect crypto investments. When including businesses and other domestic sectors, total crypto assets held via Dutch providers reached €3.4 billion.
