Anthropic launched an economic scenario analysis tool that models AI’s potential impact on the U.S. economy by 2030 across moderate, significant and extreme adoption scenarios. In the extreme scenario, the model projects U.S. GDP could reach $44.4 trillion, while unemployment among knowledge workers would rise significantly, highlighting the potential for rapid AI adoption to drive growth while disrupting employment.
