President Donald Trump completed 517 securities transactions totaling between $74.3 million and $273.3 million in August, according to newly disclosed financial filings. The portfolio activity included a purchase of up to $25 million in Meta stock and an investment of up to $5 million in SpaceX debt products two days before signing a policy expanding U.S. commercial space transportation.
The largest single transaction occurred on August 21 when Trump acquired Meta shares and executed a broad portfolio rebalancing. On the same day, he purchased between $1 million and $5 million each in AT&T, ConocoPhillips, Abbott Laboratories, Netflix, and Chevron, while selling positions in AMD and Church & Dwight and reducing holdings in Boeing, Home Depot, T-Mobile, Datadog, Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks, and Nvidia.
Media analysis estimates total purchases at a minimum of $44.2 million and sales at $30.1 million for the month. While trading frequency declined from over 1,000 transactions in both June and July, the 18-page filing indicates Trump's portfolio management remained highly active throughout August.
