The Moscow Exchange will begin offering cryptocurrency trading services starting December 1 under new Russian legislation. Boris Blokhin, Senior Managing Director of the exchange, confirmed that testing will continue ahead of the official launch to ensure compliance with the updated regulatory framework.
The exchange previously introduced crypto asset index futures and perpetual contracts for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, and TRX exclusively for qualified investors. Under Russia's new rules, citizens must now purchase cryptocurrencies through licensed intermediaries such as exchanges and brokers to comply with legal requirements.
