Hacktivist group TeamPCP has announced the theft of source code from approximately 4,000 private GitHub repositories. The group is reportedly offering the stolen data for sale on a dark web forum for $50,000, with sample verification available. If no buyer is found, TeamPCP threatens to release the data for free. GitHub has confirmed it is investigating the breach, which is suspected to have been facilitated by malicious VS Code/AI coding plugins installed on an employee's device.
