Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Susan Collins stated that the central bank is expected to raise interest rates further before the end of the year. She emphasized that the future path of monetary policy in the new year will remain dependent on incoming economic data.
Collins projected that inflation is expected to gradually decline toward the Fed's 2% target. However, she noted that ongoing data center construction is currently exerting upward pressure on inflation metrics.
