The U.S. dollar index is showing signs of weakening upward momentum and may be entering a consolidation phase or mild pullback after last month's rally. UOB senior technical strategist Quek Ser Leang indicated that further gains appear limited, with the index potentially testing the 21-day EMA at 101.50 if selling pressure increases.
BondBloxx senior investment strategist JoAnne Bianco stated that U.S. Treasury yields exceeding 5% should not be considered abnormal. She noted that the prolonged period of unusually low interest rates following the global financial crisis was the true historical anomaly, rather than current elevated yield levels.
