Visa has integrated Polygon into its global stablecoin settlement program, allowing its issuing and acquiring institutions to settle stablecoins via the Polygon network. This move positions Polygon as the largest USD stablecoin payment network, handling 34% of all USD stablecoin transfers and 54% of USDC transfers. The network supports approximately 3.19 million weekly active stablecoin users and maintains an on-chain stablecoin supply of $3.62 billion. Visa's stablecoin settlement program has reached an annualized volume of $7 billion this quarter, marking a 50% increase from the previous quarter. Polygon's network, known for its low transaction fees and quick finality, is already utilized by major institutions like Stripe, Revolut, and BlackRock for financial settlements.
