Drift is set to issue a dedicated recovery token for users affected by recent events, distinct from its DRIFT governance token. This new token will represent a claim on the recovery pool and will be transferable among users. Following its relaunch, Drift will transition its settlement currency from USDC to USDT. Tether will support this change by providing market-making assistance through designated market makers, ensuring liquidity and stability in the new settlement process.
