The UK's largest cryptocurrency money laundering case has reached a significant development with Zhimin Qian, also known as Yadi Zhang, pleading guilty in London. The case involves the laundering of over 61,000 BTC, valued at more than £3 billion in 2024, linked to a £5.5 billion investment fraud in China from 2014 to 2017.
Jian Wen, a Chinese takeaway worker, was used as an agent to launder the funds through luxury purchases and real estate in the UK.
