Threshold Network has targeted November 6 at 7 p.m. ET to reconnect nodes and restore Bitcoin redemption functionality, pending completion of security checks. The network's threshold signature scheme requires a sufficient number of operators online before users can redeem their tBTC holdings for native Bitcoin.
The outage has left Aave's $123.2 million tBTC reserve frozen, preventing redemptions across the lending protocol. Threshold's ability to bring enough nodes back online will determine when affected users regain access to their wrapped Bitcoin positions.
