StakeWise DAO has successfully recovered $20.7 million in stolen crypto assets following a recent exploit. On November 4, the DAO's emergency multisig executed transactions to reclaim approximately 5,041 osETH, valued at $19 million, and 13,495 osGNO, worth $170,000, from the Balancer vulnerability attacker. This recovery represents 73.5% of the stolen osETH, while all osGNO was fully retrieved. The attacker had converted the remaining osETH to ETH.
StakeWise has announced that the recovered funds will be returned to affected users based on their pre-exploit balances. A comprehensive post-mortem report detailing the incident and recovery process is expected to be released soon.
