The Solana Foundation has introduced STRIDE, a continuous security framework designed to bolster the security of DeFi protocols on its network. Managed independently by Asymmetric Research, STRIDE evaluates protocols across eight categories, including operational security and governance vulnerabilities, with results published in a public repository. This initiative follows a recent exploit of the Drift Protocol, which resulted in a $286 million loss. STRIDE features a tiered benefits system based on total value locked (TVL). Protocols with over $10 million in TVL receive 24/7 threat monitoring, while those exceeding $100 million gain access to advanced formal verification tools. The program aims to prevent systemic risks within Solana's DeFi ecosystem. Additionally, the Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN) has been established to coordinate threat intelligence and response efforts among its founding members, including Asymmetric Research and OtterSec.
