The Polish Parliament failed once again on Friday to override President Karol Nawrocki's veto of a cryptocurrency regulation bill, maintaining a stalemate in the country's digital asset oversight. The vote saw 243 members opposing the veto and 191 supporting it, falling short of the 263 votes needed to overturn the decision. The bill, backed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, aims to align Polish law with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Poland remains the only EU member yet to implement this framework. President Nawrocki has repeatedly vetoed the bill, citing concerns over excessive regulation, limited transparency, and potential burdens on small businesses.
