Notional Finance has announced the cessation of its V3 operations on both the mainnet and Arbitrum, following significant bad debt issues linked to a Balancer vulnerability. The total bad debt amounts to 641.4 ETH on the mainnet and 80.2 ETH on Arbitrum. Users with positions in the affected Balancer/Aura leveraged vaults will face a complete loss of their position value, while Ethereum lenders and liquidity providers will see substantial reductions in account values.
As part of the shutdown, Notional V3 will no longer support position management or accurately display liquidation risks. Users with cross-asset lending positions will be automatically migrated to Aave. A detailed withdrawal plan for affected users is expected to be released soon.
