Hong Kong police have successfully recovered 73 gold bars, each weighing 1 kilogram and valued at approximately HK$100 million, following a robbery at Peninsula Plaza in Hung Hom on March 20. During the incident, a man posing as a buyer was conducting a transaction at a gold shop when two men and a woman entered and collaborated with him to steal the gold bars, placing them in a suitcase.
Authorities tracked the suspects through surveillance footage and arrested four men and one woman in Central and Tai Po. The entire haul of 73 kilograms of gold was found in a car in Tai Po. The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
