EtherFi has announced the completion of a comprehensive security upgrade for the weETH cross-chain bridge across most deployed chains, with no attack incidents reported. The enhancements include fixing the LayerZero message transmission library, stabilizing the DVN set, and raising the verification threshold to 4/4. Additionally, EtherFi has tightened the path-level rate limiting parameters of its proprietary bridge contracts. Following these adjustments, LayerZero's multi-signature no longer has the authority to modify the weETH bridge configuration on-chain. All cross-chain messages now require validation by all four DVNs, and a path-specific rate limiting mechanism is in place to contain potential risk spread.
