Circle has obtained a Financial Services License from the Abu Dhabi Global Markets Financial Services Regulatory Authority, allowing it to operate as a money service provider in the Abu Dhabi International Financial Centre. This move marks a significant step for Circle in expanding its presence in the Middle East. Additionally, Circle has appointed Dr. Saeeda Jaffar as Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa. Jaffar, formerly with Visa, will spearhead Circle's regional strategy and enhance partnerships to promote the adoption of its digital dollar and on-chain payment solutions across the UAE and broader Middle East and Africa regions.
