Japanese logistics firm AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings plans to utilize the JPYC stablecoin to pay approximately 2,300 business partners, marking a significant enterprise use case for the yen-backed digital currency. The stablecoin will facilitate payments to transport contractors, including truck drivers, offering the advantage of no transfer fees and enabling quicker, more frequent transactions.
AZ-COM Maruwa is also exploring a partnership with JPYC and intends to invest over 1 billion yen (around $6.2 million) in the initiative. The company, which counts Amazon Japan among its main clients, aims to streamline its payment processes through this innovative approach.
