AI agents are beginning to transact with crypto wallets, but financial infrastructure still lacks a standard way to verify machine counterparties. Solowin Holdings said its AGENPAY project, developed with SC Ventures, is aimed at filling that gap through a Know-Your-Agent compliance engine designed to give AI agents verifiable identities for payments and other financial actions.
Industry participants cited agent-led payments, stablecoin usage and tokenized assets as key areas of growth, while warning that banks and platforms still lack clear accountability frameworks for non-human actors. Solowin said its Bahrain subsidiary received a central bank license in June to issue stablecoins, though the token has not launched yet. For the year ended March 31, the company reported $28.05 million in revenue, up 895%, with $22.2 million from AI infrastructure fees, alongside a $13.29 million net loss.
