Global public companies excluding miners recorded $267 million in net Bitcoin purchases last week, down 48% week over week as of 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Sept. 8, 2026. Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, made no Bitcoin purchases, while Metaplanet also added none for an eighth consecutive week.
Eight companies disclosed Bitcoin purchases or holdings updates. Strive bought 1,375 BTC for about $109 million, bringing its holdings to roughly 24,531 BTC. Capital B purchased 376 BTC at $67,182 each, raising holdings to 3,521 BTC, while Boyaa Interactive added 205 BTC for $14.3 million, increasing holdings to 4,316 BTC.
Tracked public companies excluding miners held a combined 1,119,973 BTC at publication time, down 2.38% from the previous week. Their holdings were valued at about $87.77 billion, representing 5.6% of Bitcoin’s circulating market value.
