Arkham has clustered 22,000 Bitcoin addresses to Satoshi Nakamoto using the Patoshi Pattern, identifying holdings of 1.096 million BTC. The amount represents more than 5% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply. The wallets have never moved, Arkham said. Its research team also compared the estimated fortune to Bill Gates’ wealth.
