Yuga Labs Vice President of Blockchain Quit has advised NFT holders to immediately revoke token approvals granted to Blur contracts following the marketplace's announcement to deprecate its frontend on November 12. While no current vulnerabilities were found in Blur's existing smart contracts, Quit warned that the upgradeable nature of these contracts poses a security risk as the team appears to be disbanding.
Tens of millions of dollars in NFTs remain approved to Blur's contracts, with security now dependent entirely on the operational integrity of a team in transition. Users are urged to use tools like revoke.cash to remove permissions before the November 12 shutdown date. Blend, Blur's lending protocol, will also cease matching new loans as part of the platform wind-down.
