TheDAO Security Fund has launched the second round of its ETHSecurity Initiatives, allocating $600,000 specifically for the formal verification of the Vyper compiler. Vyper is a critical smart contract language utilized by major DeFi protocols including Curve, Yearn, and Lido.
The funding originates from unclaimed ETH dating back to the 2016 DAO incident, which has since been converted into staking funds to support ecosystem security. The Ethereum Foundation has publicly expressed support for this initiative aimed at strengthening infrastructure reliability.
