Tesla has revealed three versions of its new Roadster: Performance, Thrust, and Rocket. The street-legal Performance variant features a two-seat layout with a $50,000 deposit in the U.S., while pre-sales in China are currently open with a 332,000 yuan deposit. The limited-production Thrust edition is track-only and equipped with cold gas thrusters, claiming a 0-60 mph time under one second. It requires a $250,000 deposit with a one-unit limit per customer, subject to local regulations. The single-seat Rocket variant features cold gas thrusters around the body for forward, upward, and lateral movement, enabling flight capability. This model cannot be used on public roads, is sold by invitation only, and is not available for online reservation.
