The trader capitalized on APE's rapid 110% surge by simultaneously opening long and short positions. Initially, the trader deposited 75 ETH, valued at approximately $174,000, as margin to open these positions.
Subsequently, the trader purchased 1,027 ETH, worth about $2.37 million, on the HyperLiquid platform and withdrew the funds. An additional 26 ETH was acquired on-chain, totaling 1,053 ETH purchased. This maneuver resulted in a profit of 978 ETH, equivalent to approximately $2.27 million. The precise timing and significant returns of this trade have led to widespread suspicion of insider trading within the community.
