SpaceX has completed $40 billion in debt financing to purchase GPUs, Elon Musk announced on X. The company holds an investment-grade credit rating supported by revenue from its Starlink and launch businesses.
Musk warned that the debt market has effectively closed financing channels to companies lacking substantial non-AI data center revenue, predicting a massive shakeout among more than 200 neocloud compute providers with only a few surviving. This follows earlier Bloomberg reports that SpaceX's proposed AI financing plan had encountered obstacles due to credit market volatility.
